The guys over at Lonely Planet have launched a new range of guides aimed at people who will be making brief visits to the World's best known cities. The 'Encounter' guides allow you to create an itinerary that will fit in with your short stay and in their words allows you to see twice the city in half the time.
The guides include useful pull out maps, unique itineraries and highlights of the city you are visiting so that you can get the most out of your visit.
They have launched with 8 guides covering Paris, London, Barcelona, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Las Vegas and New York. The price is a very reasonable £6.99 for UK purchasers ($11.99 for U.S. buyers).
