Shopping in Paris - Just the thought itself can be exciting. There are many quite exquisite shops where you can get everything under the sun. On the week days all the shops are open till 8 pm. Let us get familiar with a few places where you can shop to your complete satisfaction.
Les Halles is a shopping mall situated between the Louvre and Notre Dame. A real feast for shoppers is assured here. Here you can see a huge book store called FNAC, many hotels, apparel outlets, an indoor swimming pool and garden for the children to play. The specialty is that all these are underground!! Tati is comparatively a cheaper place for shopping. This is a place for you if you are not planning to spend much money. In Barbes you can find a big Tati but there are many others in Paris too. You will be able to find them at La Republique. Their working time on weekdays is 10 am to 7 pm
The Saint Ouen Flea Market at the Porte de Clignancourt is one of the biggest crowd pullers. It has around 70,000 people visiting every weekend. It has a very good environment and about 2000 salesmen selling their stuff. It is open on all week days and easily accessible from the center in a metro
Samaritaine is a classical building which can be considered as an example of how shopping malls ought to be. A wide variety of things in different price ranges are available here. If you just go to the roof terrace you can enjoy great sights. It is a place that should not be missed if you are on a visit to Paris .

If you are crazy after jewels, Cartier is the best one for you. There are around seven Cartier shops in Paris . You can find one at the airport and another one in Galerie Lafayette. But the first place among them goes to one at the Place Vendome.
Chanel is another place if you are looking for watches, jewelry or perfumed clothing. It is across the street from Cartier
Frederic Delliaux, l'Atelier is a small outlet for leather clothing and other accessories. It is in Marais and their address is 4, rue du roi de sicile, Paris 75004
